Kevin has over thirty years of experience as a financial services executive practicing investment banking as well as public and private equity investing. He began his career at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and later joined the private equity firm, Gibbons, Green, van Amerongen, the first of its kind. In addition to Goldman, his investment banking experience includes Salomon Brothers, Wasserstein Perella, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Thomas Weisel Partners. Most recently, he was a public and private equity investor at the multi-strategy hedge fund Paulson & Co.
During his career, Kevin has advised in M&A transactions, debt and equity financings, and restructurings, aggregating over $100 billion in value. His experience crosses multiple industries, including telecom, media, technology, energy, chemicals, consumer products, healthcare and financial and business services. In addition, he has global expertise, having completed transactions in Europe, Asia, and North and South America. As Head of Media/Telecom Investment Banking at BAML, he managed approximately 70 investment and corporate bankers in North America and Europe.
As an investor, Kevin has led private equity investments in the consumer products, insurance, industrial products and services, energy, technology, and transportation industries. As a hedge fund investor, he focused on event and value strategies in the global TMT industry. Kevin has served on the Board of Directors of Steinway & Sons, Sealy, Horace Mann, among other private companies.
Kevin received a B.A. from the University of Chicago, an M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics, and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. Born in Idaho, Kevin spent over thirty years in New York City and now lives in Los Angeles. He relaxes playing golf and competitive bridge.
